Rev. Matthew D. McDonald, age 94, former chaplain of the Chicago Fire Department and Skokie Fire Department; devoted son of Matthew and Susan McDonald, loving brother of John (late Lillian), Therese (late Waldemar) Kowal; the late Mary (late George) Greaney, and the late Thomas (the late Evelyn) McDonald; dear uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews. Fr. McDonald worked at Separation Court of the Chancery Office, former pastor of St. Malachy, Assistant at Our Lady Help of Christians, Sacred Heart, and St. Thomas Aquinas parishes and resident at St. Veronica and St. Joan of Arc. Funeral Monday 10:15 am from Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero, Chicago to St. Juliana Church, 7201 N. Oketo Ave. Chicago, for Mass at 11:00 am. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 3-9 PM.
