Mr. George Richard "Rick" Lowery

September 18, 1955 - March 24, 2012

George Richard "Rick" Lowery, 56, of Palatine, IL was born September 18, 1955, in Hebron, NE, and passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 24, 2012, after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

He was united in marriage to Joan Irene Studdards on August 27, 1983 in Barrington Hills, IL. They moved to Palatine, IL where they lived out their married life. Rick was a veteran of the Marine Core during 1973-1977 and reenlisted in the Marine Reserves before retiring as Staff Sergeant Lowery. He was employed by Weber Packaging Solutions in Arlington Heights, IL for 25 years.

Rick is survived by his devoted wife, Joan and his loving son Joseph of Palatine. He is also survived by his daughter, Jessica Louise (Scott) Wagner and his beloved grandchildren, Trevor and Kaylee Wagner of Eugene, OR as well as his sisters, Barbara Douglas, Marilyn (James) Clevenger and Candy (Dave) Allen.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, George and Betty Lowery and his sister, Pamela Ronzheimer and lastly, his beloved dog Bugsy.

Funeral Information

Visitation Wednesday, March 28, 2012, 4-8 PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine and Thursday, March 29, 2012, 12 Noon until time of funeral service at 1 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 N.Plum Grove Road, Palatine. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
