MARY CATHERINE BARRY HOLBROOK, nee Vaughan, 91 yrs., beloved wife of the late Paul J. Barry and the late Raymond C. Holbrook; devoted mother of Judith (William) Wadlington of Duneland Beach, IN, Donal Paul (Margaret) Barry of Park Ridge, IL, Mary Lynn Dennehy of Ladera Ranch, CA, Nancy Barry of Oracle, AZ, Michael Vaughan (Katherine) Barry of Edwards, CO, Marcia (James) Rudolph of Chicago, IL, Carol (Howard) Westbrook of Duneland Beach, IN and Lynn Holbrook (Barry) Collins of Chicago, IL; cherished nana of 21 grandchildren: Joanna Kerwin, Beth (Robert) Foldesi, Donal (Julie) Barry, Michael Dennehy, Sean (Michelle) Barry, Dr. Paula (David) Richter, Nancy (Frank) Kohout, the late Brian Barry, Autumn Klesch, David Rudolph, Paul (Jordan) Barry, Katie Barry, Christine Rudolph, Megan Barry, Erina Eyjolfsdottir, Matthew Barry, Ryan Barry, John Westbrook, Breanna Barry, Allison Westbrook and Laura Collins (James) Nollsch; adoring GiGi, great grandmother of 19 children. Preceded in death by brother Michael (Audrey) Vaughan and sister Jane (William) O'Connor; loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Matriarch of the Barry Clan, parishioner of QAS Basilica, CPS teacher for 30 years, loved traveling with her friends, Nana enjoyed family gatherings at the beach, her dinner group at Resurrection Retirement Center and her dedicated caregiver, Emy Carvajal. We will remember her quiet wisdom, zest for life and she will be in our hearts forever. 773-736-3833

Funeral Information

Funeral Saturday, March 6, 2010, 11:00am from Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Chicago to Queen of All Saints Basilica for Mass at 11:30am. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Visitation Friday, March 5, 2010, from 3:00-9:00PM.
