Ms. Carla Evelyn Tischler

July 16, 1971 - February 24, 2010

Carla Evelyn Tischler, beloved daughter of Jane Dorothy (nee Jordan) and the late Daniel Tischler. Loving sister of Daniel Tischler, Edwin (Linda) Tischler, Ingrid (Ken) Prigge and Vivian (David) Luber and sister-in-law of Jean Marie Tischler. Adoring granddaughter of Julio Ficher. Cherished aunt of Jordan and Megan Tischler and Jeffrey and Catherine Prigge. Dear cousin of Eddie, Nick, Matthew and Amy Jordan. Fond niece of Charles Edward Jordan and Kathy (Michael) Charles and an untold number of friends whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Otto (Manuela de Rabe) Tischler, Amalia Ficher and Edward Jordan.

Carla’s vibrant life ended too quickly on Feb. 24, 2010 after her 6 month long battle with cancer. She was undoubtedly everyone’s sunshine, bringing light and laughter to all in her path. Her memory will live on through those she brought together throughout her unforgettable journey.
A 1989 Alumnus of Fremd, Carla attended Harper College for one year before beginning her career as an ophthalmologist’s technician. She devoted her life to her friends and family, instilling her contagious sense of humor in everyone she knew. Always young at heart, Carla surrounded herself with children and was planning to volunteer at a children’s cancer hospital after she survived her own battle.

Funeral Information

Visitation Sunday, February 28, 2010 from 3:00-9:00pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Funeral Monday, March 1, 2010, 9:45am from the funeral home to Holy Family Church, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness for Mass at 10:30am. Interment private.
