Evelyn M. Kobus, nee Kula, 86, of Palatine, IL. Born September 3, 1925 in Chicago, IL, she passed away May 13, 2012. Beloved wife of Richard Kobus; loving mother of Susan (Michael) Savitzky, Dale (Jim Jr.) Risley, Richard L. Kobus, Donna Mandel and Gary (Kate) Kobus; cherished grandmother of Mike Jr., Jennifer, Allison, Kristin, JR, Katie, Julia, Nick, Alexandra, Jason, Jared, Jack, Andrew and Brandon and great grandmother of Kimberly, Misty, Mikey, Shaye, Christopher, Amelia, Henry, Alexander, Maegan and the late Sunnie; fond aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn retired after more than 40 years with Northrup-Grumman. She attended DePaul University where she was a pianist for many of DePaul’s Musical Productions and Operettas. Throughout her life, she continued to enjoy attending the theater and musicals.

Funeral Information

Visitation Thursday, May 17, 2012, 3:00-9:00PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine and Friday, May 18, 2012, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela Street, Barrington, 9:30AM until time of Mass at 10:30AM. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
