Mr. Bill D. Smith

June 20, 1938 - January 19, 2010

Bill D. Smith, retired CPD; beloved father of Lori Smith, Robert Critchfield, Deanna (John) Kross and Cherie (Mike) Abbinanti; loving grandfather of Jonathan, Rachael, Rebecca, Kaylee, Emily and baby Critchfield and great grandfather of baby Arias. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Ruth Smith and siblings Richard Smith and Jill Zimmerman. Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bill was born in Rensselaer, IN and moved to Chicago at a young age where he later became a Chicago Police officer for 33 years. He took great pride in his work, but most of all his family.

Funeral Information

Memorial visitation Saturday, January 23, 2010, 3-9 PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Avenue, Chicago with a funeral service held at 3:30 PM and a St. Jude Servioe at 7:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bill’s name may be made to Season’s Hospice.
