Angelo's spirit positively influenced all those who have had the opportunity of being near his "glow". He was a proud father and a humble son a respected Sergeant and a true friend. He spoke often about the true meaning of love and the honor and importance of family. Angelo was committed to being the best example that he could for many. There is no doubt in my mind that Angelo's amazing Family is well aware of the precious "gift" that he was to all who knew him. He possessed a quiet and humble charm that resonated in his courteous manner and throughout the warmth of his caring nature. He was Blessed with a Warrior's Heart and the Boundless Mind of a lifelong Scholar. His perspective challenged us all to question the important issues in the world around us while inspiring us to always consider without hasty judgment the opinions and views of our neighbors. His vision of the world seemed to include a lens that allows differences to be celebrated and recognized not as deficiencies but rather as the perfect ingredients for a worldwide community of kindness. Angelo is the consummate example of an absolute gentleman who walked along a path towards enrichment and he moved in that space while displaying class, courage and selflessness.
You will be missed my dear friend. May GOD keep your Soul for All-Time and may your Family find the Strength to heal and the opportunity to rejoice in having been delivered such "Gift" as you.

When I first met Angelo was when he surprise my manager Evelyn Rivera at her job he was pretending to be patient of our clinic. He was filled with laughter and smiles and I knew from that day he was a very nice funny guy. Later on that same year I seen him again at a company Christmas party He was full of life and love to talk about his career as a detective. Being able to experience a full conversation with him was a blessing. Him motivating me to get back in school and take up law was one of the most deepest conversation I ever had with someone in such little time. He was a great guy, my manager will always talk about how happy she was with him how much of a wonderful he was and from meeting with and speak with him I can see why she say such beautiful words about him . He will truly be missed, gone to soon in the words of Michael Jackson. My prayer and thoughts goes out to Evelyn and Angelo's family. God has truly gain an angel.
I met Angelo when he was just 3 years old. His mom Luz and dad become my mom’s best friend. His mom was our baby sitter and this is where our story began. Angelo along with his sisters become family we grew up together and many moments as children. Angelo was my brother although with time we all went our own ways as adults he was always in my thoughts . I ran into him a few times and hung out heck he even pulled me and my friends over just to mess with us. I wish we would have spent more of our adult life together but life is what it is. I will miss you my brother Angelo you will be greatly missed. I still can’t belive it but I know you are in a better place . Rest In Peace my brother and our memories I will carry in my heart . Love you Jr.

I taught Angelo in two doctoral classes at DePaul. He literally was an “angel” in class with a quiet affirming presence that made everyone in the room feel heard and seen. He was very proud of his fine work as a Chicago Police officer and even more proud of his amazing work as a father. He had been ill for a while but attended every doctoral class he could as he truly believed in the importance of life-long learning and growing. He will be sorely missed.

My memory of Angelo was that he was very committed in pursuing a doctoral degree in educational leadership. His honesty, humor, and humility, I will deeply miss in the classroom that were shared among his fellow officers and doctoral students.
