Hon. John N. Hourihane, age 78. Loving husband of Sylvia, nee Grzesik, for 52 years. Beloved father of John Jr. (Leigh), Jim (Ursula) Hourihane and Ellen (Jonathan) Meadows. Cherished grandfather of Leyton, Katherine, Gabriel, Alicia and Julia. Dear brother of Michael (Jan) and Daniel (Linda). Fond brother in law of Patricia (Rich) Rasinski, Alice (Ray) Brosius and Emil (Joan) Grzesik. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews and friend to many. John was a graduate of St. George High School, DePaul University and Chicago-Kent College of Law. He served as a Circuit Court Judge and Justice on the Illinois Appellate Court for 20 years. Funeral Friday 9:30am from Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago to Queen of All Saints Basilica for Mass at 10am. Interment at All Saints Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 3-9pm.
