My dearest friend Jim,
You were a blessing in my life, the silver lining from my bucket list. You had a heart of gold and I thank you for sharing it. You were the most accepting, considerate and supportive person I've ever met.
I guess Bill Door knocked and you had to answer. I wish you'd had so much more time : at least there is no more darkness or pain.
You were an avid naturalist and environmentalist , Dr. Bill Howenstine considered you the savior of the Swamp White Oak stand at NEIU. It was an achievement you were so proud of ! It still stands growing beautifully today.
I hope that where you are the music never stops playing and you can hear it perfectly. May Osiris guide your path towards the heavens so you can soar freely. I know you Red and I'm going to miss you cuz your gone.
Of all the shows we saw with Chris, I think the Hot Tuna show w/ Paul Kantner at the Vic is my favorite. Miss ya Red

Red - I'm grateful for the good times we shared. I wish we could have had many more. May your spirit soar like it was never able to before.
Ded Red: "Who are you? And why do you want to be my friend?" First facebook post from me to Jim. Jim, you will be greatly missed. You were unique, kind-hearted, a rabid liberal, and all around good person. We love you and hope you are in a happy place.

Wow. You'll always be my big Brudder, and I am still shocked you are gone. I hope you're having a ball, talking to Jerry, and fishing in that great pond in the sky. Rest easy, big bro. You will be missed.

You were like a Brother to me and you will be missed more than you know.

Like four lean hounds the lighthouse keep
Wildflower seed on the sand and wind
May the four winds blow you home again"
Rest in Peace my longtime friend
I'll never forget the many good times we shared.
I'm still getting used to the idea that I won't see you again.
I hope you are at peace and no longer feel pain!
I'll always miss you!!
See you on the other side...no offense but hopefully not too soon.
I love you my friend!!!

Jim- it's impossible to believe you are gone so soon. I hope there's peaceful quiet and uninterrupted fishing on the other side. We will miss you always.
