Cesar D. Arellano, age 84, of Chicago. Beloved father of Joji (Escanilla), preceded in death by eldest son Johnny, Jacob, Anthony, Raul, Mariquita (Florendo),  Jacqueline (Nidas), Nene, Arlene, Alice, Joseph, Alan and Nicole.  Proud grandfather, fond uncle, loving cousin, and dedicated friend to many here and in the Philippines.  Preceded in death by parents Juan M. Arellano and Cenona Carolino.  Brother to Juanita (Bingcang) and Gloria (Yuyang), preceded in death by brothers Oscar, Juan Marcos, Salvador, Luis, and Carlos. Cesar migrated to Chicago in the early 70’s and was a passionate businessman, dedicated humanitarian and political activist.  Cesar is known for his charming playfulness, relentlessness, resourcefulness, good sense of humor, and giving spirit.  Dubbed by many as one of the many legendary freedom fighters of his country, he was a man of conviction, courage and a caring countryman always interceding for freedom, truth, justice, peace and democracy.  Cesar was the Founder and Chairman of The Movement for a Free Philippines (Chicago Chapter) working alongside Benigno Aquino, and President of Operation Brotherhood in the Midwest, an organization dedicated to charity and the promulgation of human rights.  Cesar enjoyed being with his grandchildren, singing, painting and had an infinite love of nature. Cesar is donating his body to medical science and will be helping medical students understand his awesomeness.  He will be dearly missed and his legacy will live on in his children, 39 grandchildren and a dozen great grandchildren.
