Francisco Vega, age 90, of Chicago IL. Beloved husband of Myriam Vega nee Velazquez for 36 wonderful years. Loving father to Adolfo (Socorro) Vega, Jose Francisco “Paco” (Evangelina) Vega, the late Jose Luis “Pepe” (Beth) Vega, Martha (the late “Xico”) Vega, Catina (Manuel) Alfaro, Bertha (Antonio) Macias, Blanca Vega, Leticia Vega, Michelle Vega, the late Felipe Vega, William “Billy” Vega, and Maria Guadalupe (Jose Luis) Beltran. Dear step-father to Antonio (Karyn) Bravo MD, Miriam (Scott) Miller, and Eduardo (Joy) Bravo. Adored grandfather to many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beloved friend to many. Francisco will be remembered by his boundless kindness and generosity. He was a pioneer and entrepreneur in business, and a pillar of the Mexican Community in Chicago. He will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held Sunday, November 1, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Chicago IL from 2:30-6:30PM. Please be advised only 25 people will be allowed into the funeral home at one time, family and friends are encouraged to keep their condolences short and may post condolences on Francisco’s memorial. A mass will be held Privately on Monday, November 2, at Queen of All Saints Basilica. Entombment at All Saints Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum. For more information please call 773-736-3833.
