“If it doesn’t say you can’t, then you can,” was just one of the many sayings spoken by Jeffrey James Schuttler, who, born on March 21, 1955, left this earth on February 21, 2019 surrounded by family and close friends, as he requested. Jeffrey will forever be remembered and loved by his wife, Elizabeth, children Kari (Rich) Vicario and Zak (Kelly) Schuttler, and stepdaughter, Davida (Joe) Doyle. He was the loving son of Robert and Margaret Schuttler. His rule of having dessert before dinner will be happily carried on by his grandchildren, Jaden (17) and Brody (10) Franzen, Zach Vicario (16), Abby (5) and Ty (4) Schuttler, and Marlie (9) Doyle. Further, the childhood stories that tell of Jeffrey’s amazing sense of humor and determination will forever be retold by his siblings, Robert (Jan) Schuttler, Pam Pettit, Peggy (Scott) Geldernick, and Kathy (Graham) Morrison. Jeffrey was a man of many talents, and his legacy will continue through his family company, Victor Construction, as will his unforgettable spirit for life. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents. We give great thanks to the care provided by the staff at JourneyCare of Barrington, as they allowed Jeffrey to pass peacefully and comfortably. We know the heavens are now graced with his charm and practical jokes, and welcomed him with mountains to ski, bike trails to explore, motorcycles to ride, and an unlimited amount of cookies and ice cream to share. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to “Little Sisters of the Poor” in Palatine, IL. A “celebration of life” will take place in the coming weeks on a date yet to be determined.
