Joseph G. Smith, beloved husband of the late Lucille M. Smith, (nee Stegmaier). Dear brother of the late Katherine Bily and Rosella Castillo. Dear uncle of Susan (Steve) Grimes, Randy Kaas, Cindy (Ross) Rice, Glenn Kaas, Buzz (Sherry) Kaas, Rene’ Jewett, Jennifer S. Stegmaier, Cynthia Biedrzycki, Peggy Donohoe, Diane Ostojic, Edward Bily, Jr., Thomas Bily, and the late Lisa Fox and James Gleason, in addition to many great-nieces and great-nephews. Devoted son of the late Joseph and Balbina (Gdowski) Olszowka. Joe worked as an auto mechanic with his dad and later owned his own transmission shop. He loved all things automotive and he and Lucille often drove to watch the Indianapolis 500 and the Daytona 500 races. Visitation Monday, May 16th, from 10:30-11:15 am at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago. Funeral Mass Monday, May 16th, 11:30 am at Queen of All Saints Basilica, 6280 N.
