Kendall was born on June 3 1985 in Oak Lawn, IL and she passed away Thursday, February 18 after a courageous 5 year battle with Brain Cancer.
A resident of Inverness, Kendall grew up in Palatine and attended Palatine High School where she loved playing volleyball and was actively involved in Best Buddies and coaching Special Olympics. Kendall graduated from the University of Houston after moving there to help care for her 4 nieces and nephews when their mother suffered a stroke. After graduating, Kendall worked for Verizon Wireless, where she forged many lasting friendships.
Diagnosed with glioblastoma at 30 years old, Kendall’s answer to cancer was spreading a little KendallStrong to all 50 states, sharing her special brand of humor and compassion with special friends in favorite places.
In 2019, Kendall accomplished her goal of visiting all 50 States after a trip to Alaska, which was enjoyed alongside her brother, mother, and father.
Throughout her battle with cancer, Kendall’s love for family and friends never faltered. She was always more concerned with others than herself. Even in the end when her body was at its weakest physically, she continued to be a beacon of strength mentally and emotionally.
Kendall was deeply loved and will be missed by parents Marty and Cindy (Fagerstrom) Eich, brothers Marty (and wife Kate), Jason (and wife Jessica), and Ryan, nephews Marty and Sam, Grandmother Della Reiff, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 21 from 3-7pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine IL 60067. Service and interment will be private. Donations in Kendall’s name can be made to either the Andrew Weishar Foundation – supporting children and young adults with cancer, https://www.weish4ever.org/donate, or BrainUP – supporting brain cancer research, https://www.brainup.ngo/donations/donate/.
