Mary Regina Ganey (nee Moran), beloved wife of the late Albert D Ganey. Cherished mother of Denis (Janet), Maureen (Martin) Geraghty, Rita (Perry) Weinberg, Gerald (Debbie), and Thomas (Karen). Honored grandmother of Bevin (Morgan Hammer), Todd (Jenny) and Keith Ganey; Patrick (Diana) Geraghty, Mary Elizabeth (John) Kenyon, Ann (Christopher) Sepersky, Nora, Joseph and Bridget Geraghty, Ellen and Jill Weinberg, Brian and David Ganey, Karl, Clara, and Ryan Ganey. Dear Great-grandmother of Katie, Colleen, Molly and Sean Patrick Geraghty, Maggie and Katherine Sepersky, Huckleberry Hammer and Edward Kenyon. Grandsons Timothy and Denis Geraghty and Sam Weinberg together with great-grandson William Albert Kenyon have been waiting in heaven for grandma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Frances Moran (nee Quinn), loving brother Charles (Rose), Thomas (Johanna), John (Rosemary) and sisters Anne Anderson (C.K. Anderson) and Sister Mary Vianney O.P. (Rosemary). Fond sister-in-law of Dennis Paul (Kay) Ganey, Ray (the late Helen) Ganey and Gene (MariLou) Ganey. Favorite aunt of many nieces and nephews. Mary Regina was a loyal Alumna of St. Andrew’s Elementary School, Alvernia High School and Mundelein College, all in Chicago. A faithful parishioner of St. Jerome’s and later, St. Margaret Mary Catholic Churches in Chicago, Mary Regina was a member of St. Benedict’s Nursing Home community beginning in October 2002. A generous and compassionate friend to so many, Mary Regina lived a life of service to her family and her community. “Where your heart is, there also your treasure will be”.
