Rose Mary “Rose” Morreale, nee Werderits, June 18, 1929 – September 10, 2020, beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Morreale. Loving mother of Rose Marie (the late Daniel) Marchuk, Susan (Thomas) Lynch, and Elizabeth (Carl) Quilici. Affectionately known as “G” by her grandchildren Jennifer, Megan, Stephanie Marchuk, Kristin and James Lynch, Joseph and Natalie Quilici. Daughter of the late Elizabeth nee Becker and Franz “Frank” Werderits(ch). Dear youngest sister of siblings who predeceased her Philip (Marion) Goll, Elizabeth “Betty” (John) Rose, Helen (Elmer) Hawes. A lifetime Chicagoan, Rose graduated from Scammon Elementary, Schurz HS, and Wright Junior College.  She was a stylish, attractive, and independent redhead who guided many with her immeasurable wisdom.  Rose was a former Girl Scout leader, Past President of both the Edgebrook School PTA and St. Richard’s Episcopal Churchwomen. Her love of sweets was shared by her husband whom she met over a candy jar on her desk when she worked at the Criminal Courts Building in Chicago. She played a strong supporting role with all his business endeavors. She was a fond aunt to her nieces and nephews, a true friend to many, and sought after by many customers for about 25 years at the Carson Pirie Scott Edens Plaza fashion jewelry counter. She had a tender heart for children and dogs. Nothing made her happier than to see her girls and grandkids thriving.
