Mr. Pergams had a gracious manner with a wry sense of humor.
Trips to the family cabin were memorable, not least because Mr. Pergams had the station wagon obediently behave like a sports car on the Wisconsin country roads. My thoughts and deepest sympathy for the family.

I got to spend time with Heinrich at baseball games and at his summer home in WI. He was fun to be around. He was very kind and generous. The family has my deepest sympathy.

He was a great dad.,we were always working on something. He was always busy, making the best of any situation .He always had time for us. He modified his first new car some time in the sixties so our huge dog could go from the back seat into a padded dog house like space he made in the trunk during family vacations. Later in life with aches, pains and illness always present, when he had every right to complain- he never did. Staff at medical facilities would tell me that he was their favorite patient-he was so friendly, good natured and always asking how they were doing, I miss him deeply.
